On December 10-12, 2025, a Meeting of specialists from CIS national statistical offices on the prospects for the development of demographic statistics was held in Moscow. 
The meeting was organized by CIS-STAT as part of the "CIS Statistics Development" project. Representatives of the CIS national statistical offices, CIS-STAT and expert community participated in the meeting.
The event included a lecture by Dr. Mikhail B. Denisenko, Director of the Vishnevsky Institute of Demography, on topical issues in demographic forecasting.
Participants also presented an analysis of the current situation and prospects for the development of demographic statistics in the CIS countries, methods for their improvement, and implementation of information technology.
