On May 21, 2026, the results were announced and the closing Ceremony of the IV International Student Olympiad-Festival in Statistics, organized by the CIS Interstate Statistical Committee, took place in Moscow

Sixteen teams from eight CIS countries participated in the event: Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Armenia. The central topic of the Olympiad was the 35th anniversary of the Commonwealth of Independent States, symbolizing the long-standing cooperation between countries.

All participants demonstrated strong results and presented research on the socio-economic development of their countries, based on statistical data from the CIS Statistical Committee and national statistical offices. The event program included a team presentation, individual testing, and the defense of team papers.

The jury particularly noted the high level of preparation of the participants, as well as the teams' creative and innovative approach to their presentations. The Olympiad became a platform not only for professional communication but also for learning about the cultures and traditions of different countries, sharing experiences, and strengthening international cooperation among students.

The following teams received the winner's cups:

"Young Analysts," Belarusian State University of Economics, 1st place;

"Eastern Accuracy" Tashkent State University of Economics, 2nd place;

"Formula of Siberia," Novosibirsk State University of Economics and Management "NINH", 3rd place.

The medals in the Individual Championship category were awarded to:

Aida Gennadyevna Ogay, KAZGUU University named after M.S. Narikbayev - 1st place;

Dmitry Sergeyevich Yurin, Altai Branch of RANEPA - 2nd place;

Aysun Mushfig kyzy Osmanova, Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) - 3rd place.

The "33 Phoenixes" and "Statistically Significant" teams were distinguished in the "Competitors' Choice" category;

the "Silk Road Analysts" and "Gold Stars ENU" teams were distinguished in the "Jury's Choice" category;

the "Team ASUE" and "Quanta" teams were recognized in the "Organizing Committee's Choice" category.

The remaining teams were awarded diplomas in the following categories:

AzTU and "Young Analysts" from Azerbaijan Technical University and Belarusian State University of Economics were distinguished for their creative approach to scientific research;

"Statistical Gurus" and "Formula of Siberia" from Russian-Tajik (Slavic) University (RTSU) and Novosibirsk State University of Economics and Management "NINH" were distinguished for the social significance of their research;

"Quanta" and "Statistical Impulse" from Osh State University and Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) - for their individual style;

"Confidence Interval" and "RAU" from Altai Branch of RANEPA and Russian-Armenian University - for their competent use of statistical tools;

"Team ASUE" and "Eastern Accuracy" from Armenian State University of Economics and Tashkent State University of Economics - for their original solution to the problem;

"Masters of the Count" from Russian-Tajik (Slavic) University (RTSU) - for the best regional analysis;

"33 Phoenixes" and "DataForce" from KAZGUU University named after M.S. Narikbaev and Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University - for their coverage of a relevant topic;

"Gold Stars ENU" and "Statistically Significant" from Eurasian National University and the Belarusian State University of Economics - for their professional breakthrough;

"Silk Road Analysts" from Tashkent State University of Economics - for the best presentation of their work.

The award ceremony for the winners and nominees was attended by Mr. A.E. Kosarev, Deputy Chairman of the Interstate Statistical Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States; Mr. V.G. Minashkin, Vice-Rector of the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics; Mr. A.A. Dzhanakhmedov, Deputy Director of the Economic Cooperation Department of the CIS Executive Committee; Ms. E.I. Kukharevich, Deputy Director of the Statistics Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission; Mr. M.I. Kataev, Press Secretary of Rosstat; Ms. N.A. Gogacheva, Head of the Division of Statistical Information Dissemination and User Support of the Interstate Statistical Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States; and Ms. E.A. Egorova, Head of the Research Laboratory "Quantitative Methods for Regional Development Studies" at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.
