Международный форум «Модернизация статистических бизнес-процессов - формирование новой экосистемы официальной статистики»
On April 23, 2026, an International Forum on the topic: “Modernization of Statistical Business Processes: the Formation of a New Ecosystem of Official Statistics” was held at the State Residence of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic “Ala-Archa”.
The CIS Interstate Statistical Committee was the co-organizer of this event.
The event was timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the statistical authorities of the Kyrgyz Republic and brought together the heads of national statistical services from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Serbia, Hungary, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, as well as international organizations from the UN system, the CIS, the Eurasian Economic Commission, and the World Bank Group.
Welcoming remarks were delivered by Mr. D. Amangeldiev, First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. D. Trefilov, Deputy Secretary-General of the CIS, Mr. K. Laykam, Chairman of the CIS Interstate Statistical Committee, Mr. B. Kudaibergenov, Chairman of the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as representatives of the UN Statistics Division, the Eurasian Economic Commission, the UN system in the Kyrgyz Republic, and the World Bank Group.
The forum addressed key areas for the development of official statistics in the context of digital transformation, including the implementation of a process-based approach, the use of digital technologies and artificial intelligence, the integration of administrative and alternative data sources, as well as the development of human resources and international cooperation.
The forum program included four thematic sessions:
• Modern National Statistical Systems — featuring representatives from Armenia, Azerbaijan, the Russian Federation, the Kyrgyz Republic, and the UN Economic Commission for Europe;
• Digital Technologies and Artificial Intelligence — featuring experts from the CIS, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Serbia, and the Eurasian Economic Commission;
• Integration of New Data Sources — featuring representatives from Tajikistan, Belarus, Hungary, China, and Uzbekistan;
• Developing Statistical Capacity — featuring representatives from the UN system, the World Bank, academia, and national institutions.
